Facility Use Guide

The Scope of Use (2015)

  • The conference rooms provided with the Tokyo Institute of Technology Museum and Archives are basically oriented toward educational and research-related meetings organized by the Institute’s staff. Facilities and equipment provided on loan are only for use within the Institute’s premises by teachers or internal departments.

Available Days/Hours

The rooms can be used from 10:30 to 16:30 on any days from Monday to Friday (except holidays and museum off
days such as year-end and New-Year days off).
※Please check the Museum (Centennial Hall) closed days here

The fees have been revised since April 1, 2014.

*The fees in the table represent non-taxed fees (tax-exempt) for internal uses, and fees including commercial tax for uses involving external parties.
*The minimum application time is 30 minutes. Please include time for room preparation and clearing in the use time period.
*The fees for 30 minutes are half the prices listed in the table.
*Fee category A applies when internal users (teachers and students) comprise more than half of all users.
* Fee category B applies when external users comprise more than half of all users.
*Fee category B applies if all users comprise the same number of internal and external users.
*The minimum application time is 30 minutes at half the fees listed in the table.
*The Ferrite Memorial Hall is only loaned along with the front lounge room.
*1st floor is divided into 3 zones, which can be used separately. Please contact us for details.
*Tentatively the meeting rooms are open only for use within the Institute’s premises by teaching staffs and departments because the air conditioning system exceeds its period of endurance and is awaiting renewal.

  • Ferrite Memorial Hall: 76 attendees (150 including standing places)
  • Application for Use
  • Reservation for use until December of 2014 is possible. Please follow the procedure below:
  • 1. Check the room reservation status by downloading the “Ferrite Memorial Hall Reservation Status” file or contacting the Museum Office on the second floor. Follow the next step to make a provisional reservation:
  • 2. Fill in the specified “Facility Use Application” and send it via e-mail or postal mail (or use the internal delivery service for internal applicants).

  • 3. The use permit is provided to the applicant when application is accepted. Please complete payment of the specified amount by the day prior to intended use.
  • 【ご利用上の注意事項】
  • 1. A cancellation fee will be charged if the reservation is cancelled less than 120 days prior to use.
  • 2. No refund is possible if the reservation is cancelled after payment due to causes for which the applicant is responsible.
  • 3. Please note that the application time includes the time required for room preparation and clearing.
