Fly ash
At the Shimaoka workshop, unglazed pieces are loaded in the combustion chamber located at the front of its ascending kiln, where flames and fly ash fill the chamber to add a natural glaze effect, reflecting the dynamic fusion of flame and ash on the pieces.
